Baidu is one of the largest AI and Internet companies in the world.
Challenge
The challenge is to assess whether the new page meets user expectations.
Process
To evaluate the research method, 31 users were invited to participate in the interview and eye movement experiment [1]
Allow users to browse, retrieve and other operations on the new and old image result pages [2], pay attention to the user's gaze on different areas of the page [3], line of sight trajectories, and subjective feedback.

EYE TRACKING TEST

Users information:
A total of 31 tested users are invited, of which 30 are valid users (14 males and 16 females). The corrected visual acuity of all subjects was above 5.0.

ONLINE SURVEY

Widescreen (1366*768) users rated the new version significantly higher than users of other resolutions

Older users rate the new version lower

Google users (27%) rated the new version higher

The rating of the new version has nothing to do with the frequency of users coming to Baidu search, and the user's gender/educational background

The users who entered the questionnaire from the new version (44 people) had no difference in the evaluation of the two versions, but the users who came from the old version (8 people) obviously preferred the old version (Note: the source URL is not recorded completely)
